Quietstuf® Acoustic Sound Blanket (ASB) insulation is designed to greatly reduce unwanted stressful sound/noise in your home or commercial environment. Quietstuf® ASB reduces airborne sound, impact noise and noise transmission between rooms, midfloor cavities and external sources. When installed in accordance with manufacturers instructions, Quietstuf® ASB can provide for STC*/RW improvements of 6-8 points in a wall system. On-Site Information ASB products are supplied in packs containing 2 rolls tightly packed to ensure ease of transportation and on site storage/handling. Prior to use, the pack should be opened to allow recovery of the loft. Product recovery may be slowed on site by low temperature and/or long periods of storage. Acoustic performance is not hindered by product at less than the nominal thickness, recovery of thickness will be achieved insitu.
